Or do you start with outfits first, photographer first? Maybe it’s not even worth trying because now this is just too much to figure out.

Some of my families really need more time to get everything they need. Others don’t need much at all, and they have the perfect shots to hang up. S
Some of my favorite things I hear when I am taking family pictures is, “wow my husband never smiles for photographers.” Or... “That was so fast! Thank you, nobody even had time to get grumpy”. I really am very quick and efficient. That is what 10+ years in the business has done for me. I know in my head my shot list, and the fastest way to get it all done. Nothing worse than waiting six weeks to get your pictures back! I work quickly to return your galleries to you within 2 weeks of your session. During busy season it is probably the full 2 weeks, most other times it is likely to be within one week from your session date. Delivered via online gallery where you will have free access for one year.

The ultimate family package is built for my extended family sessions. You, your kids, and grandkids. Maybe even a generation more. I have years of experience doing extended families, shooting families with as many as 80 people. It is a lot to manage, but can be a fun and fairly painless experience. 😉
This package will entail large group family photos, starting with everyone present, working down to you and your parents and siblings, grandma & grandpa with the grandkids, and more.
Then each individual family will get a few posed photos, and individuals of each of the kids. If I have time, I like to try to get a quick photo of each couple as well.
These sessions will take anywhere from 45 minutes- an hour. Really depending on the number of people we are working with. I am happy to travel for these as well, please email me with details about that and I can let you know what that looks like.
I have so much fun with my big families, we laugh lots, there’s usually teasing involved and the end product is so fun. What a treasure for you to have for years.

If you’re not a big extended family, this is probably the option for you. I ensure we work quickly for everyone, but also take the time to give everyone space to warm up to the environment, explore the area a bit. This helps me really capture YOU and your family for who you are. And typically helps the littles and the bigs in the family feel a little more comfortable. Have a grumpy dad? I’ll be his bestie and get him to smile, don’t you worry. I have had some toughies before, I work a little magic and you'll walk away with something perfect for you. I have left a session before thinking, “they were so grumpy, we probably didn’t get anything” and I am always surprised with what was actually captured.
The deluxe family package will take place at one location we decide on together, we will spend anywhere from 35-50 minutes together doing an array of poses and candid shots. Combination of family photos like mom with kids, dad with kids, siblings together, couple photos, individuals of kids and lots of your whole gang together.
The best time to shoot is usually an hour or so after the sun rises or before the sun sets. It will offer you that beautiful glow, and the best light.
Outdoor locations are my go to. In certain circumstances if we need a different option please let me know and we can discuss what our options may be.

While these aren’t a super trendy option yet, they have been some of my most treasured photos. A lifestyle/ documentary session looks more intimate, and raw. Really capturing your stage of life. Usually happens in your home. Think cozy, cuddly. Imagine treasured photos of you brushing your teeth with your littles or baking cookies in the kitchen. Take me outside to roll in the grass, play fetch with your dog, or pick strawberries out of the strawberry patch.
Whatever it is that you do in a day with your family, that’s what this session is made to capture. You will look back on these photos and be able to remember how beautiful the imperfection was, how crazy the mess felt, but the smiles, cuddles and giggles made it all better.
We will spend an hour together, and before hand decide what are some specific elements you’d like to capture.

I only open family mini's one or two times per year, get on my list. When I get a date set, you will be the first to know! All the goodness of a full session, but mini version.
