I’m so excited to share these darling engagement photos of Abby and Stetson! From the moment we started planning, Abby let me know she was dreaming of a mix between classic, sharp images and something with a vintage, film-style vibe—and I was all in. Their gallery is a fun blend of both: timeless portraits and nostalgic, filmy edits that tell their love story in a really unique way.

Abby and Stetson have this natural chemistry that made the entire session feel effortless. As a Cache Valley engagement photographer, my goal is always to help couples relax and connect, so that their genuine connection comes through in the photos. A little movement, some music, and a touch of posing guidance can go a long way to help you feel comfortable and create photos you love.


We met up in Cub River, Idaho in early June, which is absolutely magical that time of year. Located in the southeastern part of Idaho, near Preston and just north of Logan, Utah, Cub River offers a dreamy backdrop: green mountains, pops of yellow wildflowers, and even a little lingering mountain snow. It’s one of my favorite hidden gems for engagement sessions in Cache Valley.

If you’re from this area, you know it’s practically a rite of passage to wear cowboy boots in at least a few of your engagement photos—and I love it! That country feel is a nod to our roots here in Cache Valley, and it always adds personality to a session.

For engagement photos, I always recommend bringing two outfits. It adds variety to your gallery and gives you options—especially if you’re on the fence about what style you want. And hey, for all of us who are a little indecisive (guilty!), having more than one outfit makes the final gallery even more fun to scroll through.
